Acquirer Compliance

Starting from June 2018, Discover® will no longer mandate Acquirers to provide a biannual DISC Acquirer Portfolio Compliance Status Submission Form for their Merchants. Instead of the biannual portfolio submission, Acquirers will periodically respond to a concise set of queries related to Acquirer Operating Regulation and Merchant Portfolio compliance as part of Discover's ongoing review process.

The Acquirer retains the responsibility of ensuring that their merchants adhere to the necessary DISC prerequisites to validate their compliance status.

Service Provider & Acquirer compliance

Acquirers handling cardholder data within the Discover network might need to annually communicate their compliance status to Discover Global Network, acting as service providers, upon request from Discover.
